Evolution and invariants of free-particle moments

چکیده
Moments are expectation values of products powers position and momentum, taken over quantum states (or averages a set classical particles). For free particles, the evolution in case is closely related to that particles. Here we consider symmetrized moments for particles one dimension, first examining geometric properties up fourth order, as determined by their extrema inflections. These specified combinations {\it invariant} they remain constant under evolution. An inequality constrains fourth-order shows some types possible particle but not classically, examples examined. Explicit expressions found any order terms initial values, invariant combinations, these invariants.

Translation invariants of Zernike moments
Moment functions de0ned using a polar coordinate representation of the image space, such as radial moments and Zernike moments, are used in several recognition tasks requiring rotation invariance. However, this coordinate representation does not easily yield translation invariant functions, which are also widely sought after in pattern recognition applications. This paper presents a mathematica...
متن کاملTranslation and scale invariants of Legendre moments
By convention, the translation and scale invariant functions of Legendre moments are achieved by using a combination of the corresponding invariants of geometric moments. They can also be accomplished by normalizing the translated and/or scaled images using complex or geometric moments. However, the derivation of these functions is not based on Legendre polynomials. This is mainly due to the fa...

A conditional kinetic energy is defined in terms of the Wigner distribution. It is shown that this kinetic energy may become negative for negative Wigner distributions. A free particle wave packet with negative kinetic energy will spread in a nonclassical manner. 1 The Free Particle In classical statistical mechanics, a particle is described in terms of a nonnegative phase space distribution P ...
